Patric Chocolate

Alan McClure
Northeastern Columbia
(573) 814-7520
Boone County

Main Products Offered:
Jams or Prepared Foods

About Us:
Since 2006, Columbia resident Alan McClure, owner of Patric Chocolate, has been one of only about 10 artisan bean-to-bar chocolate makers in the entire United States. "Bean-to-bar" means that rather than buying pre-made chocolate for his bars, Alan imports cocoa beans directly from the grower and then does every step of the chocolate-making process right here in Columbia. This lengthy chocolate-making process ultimately results in the beautifully packaged fine chocolate bars for which Patric Chocolate has been nationally recognized by publications such as the L.A. Times, Food and Wine Magazine, and the New Yorker online. In addition to fine chocolate bars, Patric Chocolate also sells chocolate disks for making a rich, flavorful, European-style hot chocolate, as well as roasted cocoa nibs, among other chocolate products. Alan and Patric Chocolate are proud to serve Columbia residents directly at the Columbia Farmer's Market for the very first time during the 2009 season.
