The Columbia Farmers Market regularly hosts local musicians, performers, and artists, as well as special events from community organizations. Imagine the Farmers Market Party - Campaign Kickoff Event

Come join us to kick off the public fundraising campaign for the market pavilion. Walk through the potential pavilion, outlined in lights and tents on its future footprint. Sample a wide variety of locally grown and produced food and drink. Enjoy local bands and an outdoor film screening. Most of all, come explore and share your vision of the market with the community.

When: Saturday, July 26, from 7:00-11:00 p.m.
Where: Behind the ARC, corner of Clinkscales & Ash.
What to Bring: Lawn chair, personal dishware, and imagination!

Live entertainment provided by Curreykorn Family Band. Vera Massey from MU Extension will be on hand to discuss food preservation 9am-11am. Canning, freezing, storage of winter squashes, onions & potatoes are all do-able methods that can extend enjoyment of your market favorites. This won't be your grandma's day long process ~ come visit Vera Massey and learn up-to date methods.

Missouri Organic Association conference in Jefferson City. "Friday, Feb. 15 will include agricultural marketing and is funded by a risk management education grant to promote organics in the state.
